Hello World,
I am here today before you to commemorate my grandmother Coco. Born in 1919 in Elonga village, Democratic Republic of Congo. Her full name is Wetshi Bafoku Honorine Coco and she is 100 years old.
My grandmother Coco is the strongest and kindest person I've ever seen in my life. Growing up she lost her parents at a young age which made it hard for her and her siblings to attend college.
Even without a degree, she still managed to her own clothes business and later on a meat market. She later got married and gave up her businesses just so she could be a housewife. She would also donate food and clothes to people she didn't even know.
When my mother had me, my father was unemployed until I was 6 years old. At the time our house caught fire and we lost everything. My grandma Coco welcomed us into her home and even went beyond by paying my siblings and I's school fees, fed us, bought us clothes and many more.
She was a shoulder I could lean in stormy days, a ray of sunshine in happy days and a comforter in sad days.
I love her so much with all of my heart and soul. Because of her, I am the woman that I am today.
Coco I truly and dearly love you. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for me and my siblings. Thank you for your unconditional love and support. I think about you everyday, wishing I was near you to hold you tight and just tell you how much I love and appreciate you.
Love you Forever,
Joelle
