The Aeneid Timeline

Book 1:

After seven years of the trojan war. Aeneid decided to leave Troy and try to find a new home for his family. Aeneid escaped one night when the wooden horse was brought into Troy. He carried his father and eventually lost his wife. Later on, Aeneid found a place to stay. Soon Aeneid wanted to go to Italy, but he was faced with a big storm. That his other ships sank. Later on Neptune stops the storm, and calms all the wind, and calms that storm. Aeneid and his ships got on track, and landed on an African port. Venus worried about her son, so Jupiter sends Mercury to go and protect him and a reception among the Carthaginians.

Book 3:

Aeneid is telling his story of him escaping with his family, during the Trojan war. Later on Aeneid left the country where he was, and sails to Thrace safely. Aeneid asks for Delos and he wanted to know where is his destination by asking the orcale. The oracle made a mistake and told him that it was Crete. But in Aeneid dream, his household god told him the truth. So Aeneid follows what his household god told him. When he arrived to Sicily; his father Anchises, passes away. Sicily was the place where he was sailing from, but when the tempst rose above, Aeneis threw him to the coast of Carthaninian.

Book 4:

Aeneid tells Dido his story. Later on Dido tells her sister that she has feelings for Aeneid. So Dido decides she wants to marry Aeneid, and prepares a hunter for a match for his entertainment. After a while, Juno raises a storm, from Venus, and makes the hunters separtes and drives Aeneid and Dido into the same cave. In that cave is where their mariage is supposed to be. Soon Jupiter tell Mercury, and Mercery tells Aeneid. When Aeneid finds out, he gets his stuff and sets of for his voyage. Later on Dido finds out that he was trying to leave. Dido then tells Aeneid what she feels about him, she thought it would change Aeneids mind, which it didn't. Aeneid left, and Dido kills herself at the end.

Book 5:

When Aeneid leave Dido, he moves on. He was driven by storm into the coast of Sicily. Here Aeneid was received with kindness by his friend Acestes, who is king of the island. Acestes tell Aeneid to celebrate the memory of his father with a divine honor, and with funeral games. When the ceremonie was going on, Juno sends Iris to tell the Trojan women to burn the ships. Iris tell the women to set the shipson fire, so the women went and burnt the ship. They burnt four of the ships, they could have burnt more but Jupiter stopped the fire by the shower. Aeneid found out, and he took the advice from a general and by the vision of his father; to build a city for the women, the elderly men, and the others who were able to be in war. So Venus tells Neptune to protect Aeneid for a save voyage, and all of his men.

Book 6:

As Aeneid sails, he wanted to go to Italy, but unfortunately he landed again in Sicily. There Aeneas attends him to the underworld. When both were in the underworld she was describing to him the scences of the place and than later on conducting him to his father, Anchises. Also shows him the race of all the heros .

Book 8:

The war already started and Aeneid asking for help. Turnus send to Diomedes. Aeneid goes face to face with Evander and the Tuscans. Evander kindly accepted him and offers to help him by, sending his son Pallas. With the request of Venus, Vulcan helps too. Vulcan draws on Aeneid shield for a memorable action for his posterity.

Book 9:

While Aeneid wasn't present, Turnus takes the advantage to burn some of Aeneid ships. The ships that were burnt, later on turned into sea nymphs. After burning the ships, he started to assault the camp. Turnus and the allies attacked the Trojan camp. The Trojan sent Nisus and Euryalus to get Aeneid.

Book 12:

Aeneid returns and there is still war going on. Pallas during the war was facing Turnus, and Turnus defeated Pallas and killed him. Later on Turnus killed the rest of Aeneids people. Later on Turnus wanted to fight Aeneid. Aeneid was wounded by Rutuli, but was cured fast enough by Venus. When both, Aeneid and Turnus fought for a while, Aeneid was able to win the fight. Turnus was died at the end of the story.
