Many campaigns have been created to help people who are infected, people who cannot leave their homes or who cannot pay their rent or food, and more. Networks have been a key tool to communicate with our family and friends, to learn how to protect ourselves and how to help others.
A great example of this is the event organized by Lady Gaga, called "One World: Together At Home" in which stars such as Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney and more participated. They all sang in live stream from their homes in order to raise funds to fight against Covid-19. They raised approximately 128 million dollars. It was certainly a historic moment and it was a feat accomplished thanks to social media.
Thanks to the quarantine we have learned to value moments more and spend time with the family. We have all realized that we do not miss material things. We miss going out with friends, family, having freedom, going to school, work and human contact.
During this last month and a half, my classmates and I have learned about history about previous pandemics, moments that have marked world history and the importance of valuing and putting yourself in the shoes of others.
Thanks to one of my English assignments, I had the opportunity to interview a friend who works in a hospital on Long Island and to understand a little more closely the reality that is taking place there. We have learned to appreciate the hard work that nurses, doctors, paramedics, police and teachers have done. They have done everything possible to heal everyone, to protect us and that we can continue with our studies (and graduate) despite the circumstances. We have learned about history while we are building another chapter of it.

And I, although I finished my school in a virtual way, I could not live many experiences that I would like to have had in my memories. I am aware that life can always take an unexpected turn, and instead of complaining, you have to thank and learn. My 13 years of studies have been incredible and I am ready for a new stage in my life full of new challenges and beautiful experiences.
