Welcome to Tomball
High School!
Caroline Klein, Student Council President
1910
Students moved to a new two-story red brick schoolhouse on Cherry Street.
1908
Tomball's first school began in a one room schoolhouse with 15 students.
1937
After being part of the Harris County School Board for almost 30 years, Tomball was granted its own school district.
1935
The school building was torn down and replaced with a newer, larger building to accomodate 5 teachers and over 60 students.
2011
The district continued to grow and Tomball Memorial High School opened, relieving the overcrowded Tomball High.
1938
The district was growing quickly due to the recent oil boom that brought families to live and work in Tomball. A second campus was needed, and a new red brick high school with a gymnasium and a swimming pool was built on Main Street.
1974
The current Tomball High School opened on Sandy Lane (now Quinn Road). The school was renovated in 2000.
1961
The high school building was destroyed by an electrical fire, which the fire department put out using water from the swimming pool.

Our nurse's office is located behind the front offices facing the cafeteria. Be sure to visit any time you aren't feeling well, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic!

On the second story, you'll find Spanish Language Classes and Tomball Star Academy.

Don't use the front stairs, or you'll end up in Star Academy. Tomball High School students are not allowed up there!

Also known as "Cougar Corner," the College and Career Center is located right next to the library.
For college & career guidance, dual credit registration, and scholarships, Mrs. Nichols in the College & Career Center is always there to help!

Our cafeteria serves breakfast and lunch, with lots of options for different foods and snacks.
You can eat in the cafeteria, outside in the Atrium, or downstairs in the Lower Lobby.

The attendance office is located in the Commons (cafeteria area). You'll go here when you are late to class or when you need to turn in a doctor's note.

Officer White, our school resource officer, works to create a safe and secure environment at Tomball. He is a great guy to get to know on campus, and you'll often find him supporting our students at sporting events.
His office is located next to the front doors and reception desk.

From basketball to volleyball to the coolest pep rallies you've ever seen, the Competition Gym is the place to catch all the action.

The Lower Lobby is a multi-purpose space used for pictures, theater and sports events, lunchtime, and homecoming.
Students will get off and on their buses through the back doors. Be sure to say hello to Mr. Rex on your way in!
Located next to the stadium, the Field House contains a state-of-the-art weight room and locker rooms for our sports teams.

Our stadium houses football and soccer games, track meets, and marching band competitions. A new, state-of-the-art Tomball ISD stadium is currently under construction.

Tomball's baseball and softball fields are located behind the stadium. They are the site of some exciting games in the spring, so be sure to check it out!

Tomball's Aquatic Center, located across from Tomball Jr. High, hosts swim meets, water polo matches, and diving competitions.

Tomball's soccer fields are located behind the tennis courts. Our soccer program has had great success, so be sure to catch a game this year!

Tomball's tennis courts are also located behind the stadium. We have a dedicated and accomplished team- go watch a game and support them!

Tomball's Fine Arts hallway houses the band/color guard, orchestra, theater, and choir programs.
Students should not go into this area unless they are involved in a fine arts program or attending an event.

On the side of the school, you'll find the Tomball ISD Show Barn and Ag Shop along with agriculture and architecture classes.
Students are not allowed in these areas unless they are taking a class there or attending the FFA Project Show.
