One of the most important discoveries of humanity

Everyone know the use of this objet, but only a little part be conscious of

who invented it.

Invention

WHO?

?

The discovery of the wheel is attributed to the Mesopotamian civilization of the Sumerians (around 3,500 BC.) or that of the Central Asian shepherds, from which it would then pass to the Chinese.

They were used for pottery, then the wheels began to be used in other areas. The first wheels were simple wooden discs with a hole in the middle of the axle.

WHY?

The wheel is important not only for transport (as you might think), but for technological progress in general. There are wheel types, such as the water wheel, gears, flywheel, potter’s wheel, pulley and spinning wheel, which are not directly connected to transport use.

Reasons

1.The wheel is the first tool that allowed you to switch from the act of dragging an object by making it crawl to roll it to facilitate its movement. This has prevented man from resorting to his strength to move heavy objects or use pets for the heaviest tasks.

2 Improved transportation

The invention of the wheel allowed for easier movement of goods and people, leading to increased trade and communication between civilizations.

3 Enhanced technology

The wheel also served as a building block for the development of more advanced technologies such as vehicles and machinery, greatly impacting human productivity and progress.
