the four stages of language production.

Caracteristics

Prelinguistics

Prelinguistics

This is given during the first year.

They reacts to hearing his name. In this subphase, the "protoimperatives" come into play. With these, babies begin to point to objects as a sign that they want them.

The baby is sensitive to noise

They is able to express his moods and shows a predisposition to emit vocal sounds (babbling).

Caracteristics

The baby pronounces syllables with greater difficulty, with a clear intention to communicate.

Perspective

To promote the baby's linguistic comprehension, we can use short sentences, repeating them several times, at a slow pace. In this way, the baby's development will be more optimal.

Holophrastic

Holophrastic

Second

They utter one-word phrases

Cararteristics

These statements are subject to the context in which they are uttered.

Infants begin to use single words as utterances. For example, if a baby says "water," he or she is most likely indicating that he or she wants to drink water.

The words are accompanied by the signage.

The Mind Wanders

Eventually, these holophrases will become complete sentences. This is the first step that will eventually constitute the complete language. From this period on, language development proceeds more rapidly, giving way to the combination phase.

Combination phase

Combination phase

Around the age of two, the combination sentence begins.

What

At this stage, the child's vocabulary is larger, allowing him/her to put words together to construct sentences. Isolated words are combined to construct sentences with subject and predicate; verbs appear in speech. However, they omit words of minor importance, such as determiners. For this reason, this phase is also called "telegraphic speech".

The intentions of the statement are made clear.

Caracteristics

Conjugate verbs.

formulate questions or phrases with exclamatory intent.

Here the speech of the little ones is remarkably similar to that of an adult person. It is a gradual process that culminates in the perfection of language.

Telegraphic stage

During this stage, comprehension skills predominate over expressive skills.

They show special interest in the world around them.

Caracteristics

They constantly ask questions about their environment in order to discover the name of their surroundings.
