In today's society, at times - female artists put a twist on Mulvey's theory and it's almost as if they switch gender roles with males being represented as passive and females as the prominent figure with an active role in the music video. One song in particular that does this is Katy Perry -Bon Appetite where the video displays several men surround her. We usually see acts of sexual desires from females in music videos nowadays, however the gif below shows how males can also be incorporated into that role.
