INTRODUCTION

Where does the words Spatial and Geography comes from?

INTRODUCTION

The word Spatial comes from the latin word spatium that means "space"

The word geography comes from two latin words "geo" for earth and "graphia" for write about. so that means the word geography means to write about earth.

SPATIAL

Spatial describes how objects fit together in space, either among the planets or down here on earth.

There's a spatial relationship between Mars and Venus, as well as between the rose bushes in the backyard.

DEFINITION 1

GEOGRAPHY

The study of the physical features of the Earth, including how humans affect the earth and are affected by it.

DEFINITION 2

DEFINITION

Spatial or Geographical Pattern

What is a spatial pattern, and how are spatial patterns used in geography? A spatial pattern, also known as a spatial distribution pattern or the study of spatial distribution, is an analysis tool used to study people or objects in terms of their physical location.

TYPES OF SPATIAL PATTERNS

Clustered points or areas have high densities in some location and low or zero densities in other location.

Dispersed points or areas (nearly) uniformly distributed across a study area

Random points or areas do not tend towards a clustered or dispersed spatial distribution

CLUSTERED POINTS

DISPERSED POINTS

RANDOM POINT

RANDOM POINTS

CONCLUSION

  • Spatial or geographical pattern is the arrangement of individual entities in space in geographic relationships among them.
  • There are 3 Spatial patterns which is the Clustered,Dispersed, and random
  • It is a perceptual structure, placement, or arrangement of objects on Earth.
