Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated. In short bursts stress can be positive, such as when it helps you to avoid danger, or meet a deadline.
Stress affects people differently, some become depressed while others get mad. Others have trouble remembering things or cant concentrate very well. Some experience Frequent mood swings. Stress can also lead to heart problems because of elevated heart rate making stroke and and heart attacks more likely to happen.
Stress is caused by frustrating events like divorce, loss of a loved one, loss of a job, bad financial situation, illness, and emotional problems. Because some people are more sensitive than others they tend to get frustrated more.
Acute stress is one of the least damaging types of stress, which is good because it is also the most common type. We experience acute stress multiple times throughout the day. Acute stress is experienced as an immediate perceived threat, either physical, emotional or psychological.
Episodic Acute Stress
Episodic acute stress is frequent bouts of acute stress. People with episodic acute stress can be more hostile and have strained relationships.
Chronic stress is the response to emotional pressure suffered for s prolonged period of time in which an individual perceives they have little or no control.
