Deferments are provided to undergraduate and graduate students, men solely supporting disabled relatives, parents of at least two children and — upon Presidential proclamation — to some employees of military-oriented enterprises. Russia's success in developing a technology for suppressing noise in submarines gives Russian submarines an advantage over the enemy. "Borey" with a displacement of 24 thousand tons produce noise at only 108 decibels.
This complex has tremendous lethal force, it is practically invulnerable to the enemy, because they can go into orbit and attack from there.

But statistics says that the prestige of the military profession increased by 2018 the prestige of the military was called high 60% (69% consider the work of an intelligence officer prestigious) , medium - 17%, low - 13%.
Relationship to the defence industry
It's difficult to find the official statistics about this aspect. As I feel, that half of Russians thinks that goverment spends too much money on defence industry and they should pay more attention on medicine and education
