No one could get around fast just by walking, at this speed, They would be moving at about 3mph
Prior to the industrial revolution it was very slow for people and other things to get around, such as goods and letters. For example, a letter would take weeks or even months for it to reach its final destination. The Industrial Revolution changed that.
The horse and carriage was the first main way of transportation other than walking, but this was only for the wealthy, most of the community was still walking. The horse and carriage wasn't very fast at about 12 miles per hour, and the other down side to the horse and carriage was, it was only at its max speed on the road.

The canals were used to transfer goods down stream on flat boats, but there was no way to get the goods up stream. Until 1787, John Fitch created the first ever steam boat, which made it possible to travel and transport goods upstream. This helped out the economy and improved trade greatly.

Trains were the fastest way to get around and to transport goods, most trains were able to go about 30mph, that is 3 times the speed of the horse and carriage. These trains could transfer goods to factories, which could help the factories produce more goods. This is mass production, which helped bring prices down on everything which made everything easier.
These trains were also steam engines, but these were a lot quicker and better just running on tracks, instead of water
My Reaction
This personally was my first time ever using prezi, I would always use google slides because it was easy. I found that this was a lot easier and more appealing to the eye than slides is. Also the topic I choose was very interesting and I learned a lot about the transportation during the Industrial Revolution.
