#1. I want to pursue a major in Pharmacy and become a pharmacist within the next 4-6 years of my life.
Goal 1
- Meet with a career counselor during my first year at UNCC to help set up the best courses for me to take to pursue my goal.
- Connect with professors and other people to increase my connections with people related to the field.
- Try and earn a pharmacy internship whether it be a pharmacy tech internship or any sort to help me get the experience I need within the field.
#2. I want to be involved in at least two clubs when I transfer to UNCC
Goal 2
- Be involved with SGA as soon as possible whether that be in the passport program or when I transfer and become a student at UNCC
- Connect with people at UNCC to gain more. friends and connections so I can be involved within the UNCC community.
- Use the UNCC college website to see which clubs the college provides and be involved in the ones that interest me.
#3. I want to achieve at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA by the end of the Passport Program
Goal 3
- Ask professors for help when needed in certain situations in classes when I do not understand a certain topic or need help in general.
- Keep up with assignments that are due and when the due dates are.
- Study more often in classes that I know that are going to be hard for me and work ahead on schoolwork in my free time.
#4. I want to land a Pharmacy tech internship within my sophomore or junior year of college
Goal 4
- Connect with my professors or counselors in talking to upper rankings in the field of Pharmacy to gain connections and knowledge of major.
- Go out and apply for pharmacy tech positions in my area and find the one that is best fit for me in gaining experience for my major.
- Talk to friends and family into gaining a pharmacy tech position as my family owns their own pharmacy and has many years of experience.
#5. I want to explore any other majors that are interesting to me during my years in college in case my Pharmacy major goal does not work out
Goal 5
- Talk to professors and engage in class environment and discussions such as classes in ACA or UCOL.
- Explore in taking classes that are interesting to me in which I actually enjoy taking and doing work for the class.
- Talk to the counselor in expanding my areas of interest in which courses or other majors I would be interested in.
