Rosalía Vila Tobella,

better known as Rosalía, she is a Spanish singer.1 2 In 2018 she became the Spanish with more Latin Grammy awards for a single work.3 Her song "Malamente", with flamenco roots and urban fusion, won two awards from five nominations.4

THE BEGINNINGS

She had his beginnings at 15 years old in the program "Tú sí que vales". He has worked as a duo with Juan Gómez "Chicuelo" at the 2013 Panama International Film Festival and at the Grec Festival in Barcelona for the contemporary dance work De Carmen.

In 2013 he participated in the Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP) Conference in New York and was the solo voice in the culmination of the 2014 Espriu Year at the Palacio de la Música.

In 2015 he collaborated with La Fura dels Baus in a show premiered in Singapore. She was the opening act for Miguel Poveda, accompanied by Alfredo Lagos, at the International Music Festival of Cadaqués, and also at the Jerez Festival 2016. She worked with Rocío Márquez on the presentation of her album El Niño at the Primavera Sound festival in 2015.

In 2018 he starred in the Starlite Festival, the Hollywood Bowl, the LOS40 Music Awards, the MTV EMA and the Latin Grammys, among other places.

In 2016 he premiered his first video "Catalina", however it was erased and published again in early 2017. In February 2017 he released his first album Los Ángeles, a joint project with the producer and musician Raül Refree, with which he started get known in the Spanish and Latin music scene, being nominated for best new artist in the Latin Grammy Awards 2017 and considered by different media as one of the best albums of the year.

In May of 2017 he published "De plata" on the Youtube platform, belonging to his debut album. In November of 2017 he released the single "Although it is night", a version of a song by Enrique Morente.

EL MAL QUERER

Bad will arises as his "thesis", his "final project" to complete the Advanced Degree in Flamenco at the Superior School of Music of Catalonia. She herself says that "I thought of developing above all a concept of live from a flamenco framework, but that had nothing to do with a traditional flamenco show." Presented as an experimental and conceptual album, which revolves around a toxic relationship, is inspired by an anonymous novel in Occitan of the XIII century titled Flamenca.

On May 30, 2018 premiered the first single of this second album, entitled "Malamente".

On July 24, he premiered the second single, "Pienso en tu mirá." Finally during the month of August Rosalía announced through her social networks and from an announcement in Times Square that the album would be published on November 2, 2018.

On October 29, 2018, the singer announced the release of her third single from the album, «Say my name», composed on the basis of the traditional tango melodies of the Repompa de Málaga and a video inspired by La maja dressed by Francisco de Goya, which premiered on October 30, 2018.

On October 31 he gave a concert free, sponsored by Red Bull in the Plaza de Colón (Madrid), where he presented his new album to the audience two days before its publication.
