The May Revolution was a week-long series of revolutionary events that took place from May 18 to May 25.

High taxes and unfair Government

The Argentine war of independence was driven by the people, and their hatred of the Spanish rule. The unjust government with their unfair tax laws pushed the people towards a revolt.
