History

History

In 2010 we started teaching immersion classes.

Founded in 1914 as a school for sailors children. Our school was located in the harbour area.

New head of the school in 2015.

From 1956 we are in this building and from 1965 applied arts were taught here

Design of school day

- No school bell during the day

- Compulsory outdoor breaks

- Different lesson times (duration 30, 45, 75 and 80 minutes)

Learning by interest and choice

- Project Days, 3 times a year

- Digital Days, 1 time a year

- Lessons of interest from 1.-12. grade, every week one lesson, changes every trimester

- Art, ski, ice skating etc days

- math teaching system in 3rd. - 7th grades

- no numerical grades in 1.-3. grade
