Main Characters
There are two main characters in the story "Scythe", There names are Citra and Rowan. Citra and Rowan are very different yet very similar. Citra came from a family that loved her and helped her through life, she only has one little brother so their family is pretty small. Rowan and his friend Tyger (who is only seen in the first half) call themselves the lettuce because they were both born somewhere sandwitched between large families and were far from being their parents favorites.

Summary
Summary
Citra and Rowan both live in the far future on earth were no one can die, everyone has whatever they want, their are no crimes, no government, no sickness or diseases, and survival is parented. They call it the perfect world, which is run by a robot called the Thunderhead which can do everything. Although to avoid over population they hired a group of very wise people called scythes. Scythes are the only people who can perminatly kill or glean someone. A scythe (Scythe Faraday) see the skill and potential of Citra and Rowan to be a wise scythe and that they can study the ways to be a scythe. At first Citra and Rowan have no intentions of accepting the apprenticeship of a scythe but eventually they come to it and later on find out that only one of them can be a scythe and that the loser will be gleaned by the winner.

Connections
The connection would Text to Text because this book reminds me of another book called "2312" written by Kim Robinson. Both books take place in the far future and have very advanced technology. The only difference between them is that "Scythe" takes place on planet Earth while "2312" takes place on different planets.
