Japan provided people of the netherlands with many trading oppoptunites. Dejima was an island constructed by the Japanese merchants in the 17th century. It was a place where the Dutch could still interact and trade with the japanese after the the isolationist polocies and closed country edict were enforced. On the island the dutch found new spices along with silk for them to bring back to their country and sell to the rest of Europe. Dejima was abloished after the Treaty of Kanagawa in 1845

The Dutch East India company first introduced the concept of country trade, which is a production trade set up in order to keep trade running between Europe and Japan. The Netherlands were a big source of trade for Japan.

Yhe portuguese assassinated their king because he didnt support enslavement within his own country, so the country replaced the king with someone who agreed with their views and actions

The Congo provided the portuguese with prisioners that they had enslaved from countries around them, The portuguese needed more slaves so the Kongolese became slaves themselves. After the death of their king Congo rioted against leadership

Until 1576 when tenison arised as Portigual began to kidnap freeborn citizens and sell them into slavery. Years of conflict led to Congos leaders weaking and allowing Congo to become vunarable to slavery
