You probaly think monkeys aren't smarter than humans because they are animals. Well that is true but it is also wrong. Monkeys can do things that humans can't. Today I am going to tell you those things.
Humans can do things monkeys can't. For example humans can write, type, and speak different languages. Obviously monkeys can't talk because they have a different brain than us.

There are also things monkeys can do better than us. Monkeys learn to walk when they are 4-6 weeks when it takes humans 1 to 2 years to walk. Monkeys can learn sign language with an IQ of 75 to 100. Monkeys are also way more flexible than humans, and monkeys can show emotions like humans.
There is a species of apes called the great apes who are smarter than humans. In fact, we share 96% of their DNA.
So the answer to this question is...No because they are equal becuase a humans iq is a 90 to 115(an average human iq is a 98), when a monkeys is a 75 to 100. also, Monkeys are better at surving and activities like climbing, pulling, running, and even fighting. They also provide good learning skills. So monkeys are just as smart as humans.
