Introduction
Is life a journey for everyone? Yes or no, but according to me, it is a journey where many people experience learning from obstacles and joy in their way. In addition to this, many people who come to Canada says that they were happy when they were back home because there are lots of struggle and obstacles in the journey of Canada. But, for me these two years has been more joyful then hard because coming to Canada has changed me a lot. At present, I am a fun-loving person, more extrovert, punctual to the time, and more hardworking than being back home. As reading ahead, you will observe how Canada changed me to a person from dependent to independent, who is now successful as a student, and how he achieves his family and friends’ goals by being with his new Canadian family.
My arrival at Canada
Firstly, entering Canada was the biggest change in my life journey as it feels like entering into a new world where no one is yours, and I have to be independent now. Back home, I was dependent on my parents for everything. But, immigrating to Canada was my biggest step as I meet lots of new people from different backgrounds and cultures who speak different languages. Although leaving my friends and family was hard, anyways life is a journey, so we need to explore it. So, I have to apply my learning of how to talk with people, how to buy food, how to cook food, and the more difficult part was how to dress up according to weather and last but least how to study to get good grades. But experiencing these things helped me learn how to live alone and how to be strong when I am independent.
My success as a student
Moreover, Canada has taught me how to be a successful student. When I just passed with good grades in the first semester, I started the job of volunteer tutor at my college, where I got the experience of how to deal with students like an instructor. In addition to this, I also got the certificate from my college dean Michael Vourakes and also, I got a $20 gift card from the college. In contrast to this, back home, it never happened; I was an average student who needs tutor all the time for studies and never studied anything myself. At present, Canada changed me because the person who never studied himself is now a tutor of his college. So, here I learned that nothing is impossible if you dare to do that and never say that you are weak to something. Hence Canada has developed me and fulfilled my dream of being the best student.
Building of my canadian Family
Last but not least, Canada has given me lots of friends who love food as I do, who love traveling as I do, who like to spread laughter as I do and who are always ready to chit-chat. Back home, I had really limited friendships, but Canada has given me friends who are forever with me. I like to travel but never tried to travel because of being scared of traveling alone. In contrast,Recently I went to Tobermory with my friends and explored many of good places there. In addition to this, I also got a best friend in Canada whose name is Sukhpreet, as she is also a fun-loving kindhearted girl who never thinks bad about anyone, and have always a positive thinking about everything. So , if I never come up to Canada; I would never met her. Also, I explored the whole downtown with my friends by staying the full night out. Back home it was considered dangerous, but in Canada, due to strict law and order, we were able to enjoy the whole night without any worry. So, Canada made me a lot more fun lover and a traveler in just two years as this teaches how to make a happy life and to find out good friends who care about you.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I would say it was a struggling time for me when I came to Canada, but on the other hand, it also depends on our thinking to design our life. So I design my life in such a way that all the problems went automatically away. Whereas, all happiness knocked my door as I came to Canada.By coming to Canada I became self-sufficient, had a success as a student and have a never ending new relationships. So I believe that without immigrating over here my life could be hell, and happiness which I experienced would never be in my life. In addition to this, Canada has developed me in a more positive way rather than in a negative way. So, we should always hope for the best and always think about positive rather than negatives.
