Implementation

  • The Common Cents Curriculum was piloted at Willis E. Thorpe Elementary School in Danvers, Massachusetts

  • The Pilot Group consisted of nine third and fourth grade students

  • Through the Pilot Program, we were able to collect a series of information in regards to potential expansion of our curriculum

  • Students showcased immense knowledge growth in regards to financial literacy

  • After completing the pilot program, we decided to take our curriculum to the next level

  • The students who participated in the Pilot Program became the faces of the Common Cents Curriculum

  • Immense knowledge growth in regards to financial literacy was showcased through the Pilot Program

  • All students experienced at least a 20% increase in budgeting knowledge, and all students showed at least a 42% increase in regards to savings knowledge.

  • Through the information given to us through our pilot program, we plan to:
  • Construct new activities to fit within the subtopics
  • Eliminate any activities or questions that provoked any sort of confusion
  • Expand our curriculum implementation in the highest degree possible
