After the American Revolution, she stop being a spy and reunited with her children. In 1783, her husband William died. After her husband death she moved with her children's and ran a store until her death. Lydia died at December 28, 1789, Philadelphia, PA.

She became a spy when the moment occurred during the British occupation of Philadelphia, and she helped the Americans win a major victory. She was a spy for Sir William Howe but gave the information to George Washington. She prepare George Washington for an attack by the British in 1777.
