TRADE IN ANCIENT MESOPOTAMIA

Farming back then was not as easy as it is now we can easily move the dirt and plant the seeds using machinery they didn't have machines so everything they did was by man to move the dirt they used hoes and the plant the seeds they had to dig a little and put the seeds in also they had to haul the crops out using carts or carrying it.

Trade was what they did in Mesopotamia instead of using currency they did although have currency.

Some currency included shekels and a normal daily wage was a denarii. Below is an example of a Denarii.

The Mesopotamians used wagons since they were presumably the creators of the wheel they invented the wheel because they had to push large bricks to build stuff they even started with logs under the brick but the they created the wheel. They then created wagons to carry their building materials that's when they started to use it for trading. They also used boats to carry items on the rivers. Transportation ways were Foot, Donkeys, Wagons, And Carts.

The Mesopotamians transported and traded many goods some of them were Wool, Cloth, Jewelry, Oil, Grains, And Wine. Other goods included Barley, Stone, Wood, Pearls, Carnelian, Copper, Ivory, Textiles, And Reeds which were used for paper. Most of the food was from farms.

Inventions

Inventions included Chariots and the first Battering Ram these were used in war. Other inventions were for the good of the community such as the wheel which helped to transport goods and heavy materials and they even made boats.

Cities were located in like the middle of the Euphrates and the Tigris river. The civilizations were the Sumerians, Assyrians, And the Babylonians

The Mesopotamians got their supplies from many things they got their metal and wood from the surrounding mountains and they got their food mainly from farms. The Mesopotamians got their water from streams and rivers.
