Rap was oringinally founded by DJ Kool Herc, in the 1970s, in Bronx, New York. Rap slowly became more and more popular as more big titles celebritys started to make it.
Rap is important because it is a full on music genre and art. Many people love rap and prefer it over any other genre. Rap alows artists to expand on there music and how they want to express their thoughts and feelings.
Rap all oringinated in the 1970's in Bronx New York. Rap transitioned through hip-hop which was popular in the area at the time, hip-hop was flowy and so is rap but just at a faster beat and rythem.

Marshall Bruce Mathers, is better known as Eminem. He is often seen as one of the best rappers of all time and is credited with making hip hop famous in America.
American James Todd Smith is better known as LL Cool J, his celebrity name. He was one of the first rappers to become well-known.

Calvin Cordozar Broadus Rapper and actor, Known by his celebrity name Snoop Dogg, is from America. His first experience of popularity came in 1992 when he made an appearance on Dr. Dre's first solo track Deep Cover.
Clive Campbell, known as DJ Kool Herc, has a nationality of Jamaican American, he is a DJ who is put with being one of the founders of hip hop music in the Bronx, New York City, in the 1970's. He is considered the owner of Hip-Hop; DJ Kool Herc began playing through disco, funk, hip-hop and other tunes in order to transition some of them into rap.
