VAPING + E-CIGARETTES

E-CIGARETTES

Vaping and E-Cigarettes are often seen as the safer option especially by teens and young adults. Most e-cigarettes contain nicotine. Nicotine is highly addictive and can harm adolescent brain development, which continues into the early to mid-20s.

EFFECTS

THE EFFECTS OF VAPING AND E-CIGARETTES

  • Young people who use e-cigarettes may be more likely to smoke cigarettes in the future because of the fact that nicotine is in all of these products

  • Nicotine found in e-cigarettes can harm the brains development until about age 25

  • E-cigarettes include many harmful chemicals and these can lead to lung disease and cardiovascular disease

  • Defective e-cigarette batteries have caused some fires and explosions, a few of which have resulted in serious injuries

  • 50% of calls to poison control centers for e-cigarettes are for kids 5 years of age or younger because of them being poisoned by swallowing, breathing, or absorbing e-cigarette liquid through their skin or eyes

MY NATURAL HIGH

MY NATURAL HIGH

...

Sports are my natural high

because I love playing and being on a team, I feel like I always have people to rely on.

Sports motivates me to not do drugs because I have hopes to play sports in college and I have heard many stories about drugs making people lose scholarships. Overall sports makes me feel good and like I have purpose and I can depend on people and people can depend on me, I don't want to lose that.
