LTC Jones and 2Para were expecting an Argentine force significantly smaller than what the reality was. minefields, sniper and indirects fires impede their movement, as a result they sustained heavy casualties and lost multiple key leaders.
LTC Jones death was a turning point in the battle. It seemed that, Jones lost perspective of the battlefield and did not delegate leadership responisibilty to his company commander properly.
Major Keeble, second in command, remained focus and made the right call to propose a request for Argentine to surrender .
Taking control of Goose Green and Darwin is a turning point in the Bitish campain as they badly needed political support in Brittain. The Brittish will now have an established bridgehead at San Carlos and freedom of maneuver in Lofania to continue misssion towards Port Stanley.
