Throughout this speech my hope is to educate my fellow candidates and the citizens on the important topics surrounding Domestic, Foreign, and School policies. My main concern with domestic policies is the middle class and fixing the economy which is becoming more and more devastating. A more recent topic that is starting to be recognized as a foreign policy is climate change, with my proposal of natural resources and agriculture. Schools have many policies to address however the very popular school dress code and its enforcement have sparked a very controversial talk within our school and even across the country. With these points I hope to look deeper into correcting our governments systems.
The Middle Class
There is extreme scarcity in the housing market, when there is scarcity prices rise. It is becoming increasingly difficult for the middle class to be able to purchase in the market. In order to prevent wealthy people to from buying these houses in bulk to capitalize off of the struggle of the people, I hope to achieve limiting this threat to our economy by regulating the houses bought by entities to a certain cap unless permitted by the government.
This is among the many ideas I hope to achieve regarding fixing the current economic slope we are facing.
The Dress Code
The dress code is becoming more and more bias, targeted, and exclusionary. Dress codes do not vary from state to state, school to school, and town to town and this is a big issue because factors like climate, social environment, and economy all play a part in the backlash school dress codes are receiving. I strive to make a difference to not only make it fair, but also safer by implementing a black list of fabrics/materials, and rules such as the three finger strap. There is a lot more I'd like to achieve to better our schools, like getting rid of overcrowding in public schools, but dress codes is a nationwide problem.
Climate Change
Climate change has recently created many problems for every region in the world. Even though climate change is being viewed as more of a domestic issue the U.S has to put it first given recent events in 2020-21. The only way to actively solve climate change is if we fix the working economy around the world and adapt new laws to keep the environment safe. Natural resources and agricultural practices must be put in place to keep ecosystems safe. These ecosystems, located around many corners of the world help protect the cities and provide the necessary energy for our world to function.
In order to establish a working system of government these three issues combined show the importance of change and acknowledgment. Climate change, the middle class, and school dress code all require addressing in the proper manner. The middle class is facing a major problem with the housing market and citizens loosing their homes to the higher class. Foreign policies are dealing with a new more recent situation involving climate change, which needs to be seen a world wide problem. Lastly our schools dress code must be held accountable for its lack of equal enforcement and bias as schools must recognize the conditions regarding student choices. Support towards these points and my campaign will symbolize the importance of a voice; after all every citizen, a voice.
