JKU Campus West

The so-called pilot plant was opened in 2015. Originally, a reflection

but this was never realized. The building is to be designed as an independent technical-chemical building. In addition to laboratory space on the ground floor, office space

and 2 seminar rooms for 30 people each. The usable area of the first building

is around 1,400 m² and is spread over two levels. A higher construction is permissible,

a usable area of at least 2,000 m² is aimed for

The project Campus West is concerned with the following buildings or re-uses:

1. The House of Schools, a modularly expandable teaching and office building with classical office and meeting rooms, spaces for tutorials and communication as well as three auditoriums for 200 people each which should be connectible to an audimax for about 600 peaople.

2. The extension of the Technikum (laboratories, office spacees and seminar rooms, in total some

2000m² usable floor space) shall be elaborated.

1. New house of Schools -

New Entrance for the school

The House of Schools, a modularly expandable teaching and office building with classical office and

meeting rooms, spaces for tutorials and communication as well as three auditoriums for 200 people

each which should be connectible to an audimax for about 600 peaople.

House of Schools (modular expandable teaching and office building)

The newly founded schools or schools in the process of being founded should have a

new building complex, the House of Schools. This new multifunctional building to be constructed is to be erected in 2 stages if necessary. Also for a possible

third stage of expansion for extensions is to be provided for spatially.

In the first module, the space for the already established Business School is to be created. In

Module 2, which will be built at the same time or in a second stage, is the School of Social

Sciences and the Rothschild School for Economics and Statistics. A possible

3rd expansion stage creates space for further developments.

In addition to classic office space, meeting rooms, rooms for tutorials and

Communication zones are provided. The aspect of new work should also be taken into account here, whereby it should be borne in mind that researchers have the possibility of retreat

need. Special attention should be paid to communication within the house to

lay. The organizational units belonging to the schools should network and cooperate with each other. For the needs of teaching, 3 lecture halls for 200 students each are to be provided, which can be connected to an auditorium (with 600 seats) if required
