The element Phosphorus was discovered by Hennig Brand.

Who Discovered It?

Hennig was a merchant and a alchemist.

He was born in 1630 Hamburg, Germany.

He died in 1710 Hamburg Metropolitan Region, Germany.

Hennig Brand was actaully on a mission to find the philosophers stone. Brand collected a large tub of urine and he allowed it to rot until small creatures began to grow in it. He then began to purify it. Once the distillation was finished, a residue was left over and that residue that glowed under its own light.

Phosphate is used to treat cancer or related problems. The P 32 is inserted in with a catheter, a catheter is a thin tube made from medical grade materials.

It is then placed into the pleura (sac that contains the lungs) or into the peritoneum (sac that contains the liver, stomach, and intestines) to treat the leaking of fluid inside these areas that is caused by cancer.

It may also be given by injection to treat cancer in certain organs such as the ovaries and prostate. Chromic phosphate P 32 is to be given only by or under the direct supervision of a doctor with specialized training in nuclear medicine.

What Are The Side Effects Of Phosphorous-32?

Usually there aren’t many side effects however some people can feel sick after using it, experiencing radiation sickness, pleuritis, peritonitis (inflammation in organs) nausea and abdominal cramping. Using radioactive phosphorus over many years can cause a minor increase in the risk of having leukaemia.

How Is Phosphorous-32 Used To Ensure The Safety Of Patients?

Phosphorus has many benefits to ensure the safety of the patients which include boost of energy levels, helps produce ATP, helps moves muscles, helps cellular activity, etc.

When being injected with phosphorus there are certain safety precautions to take such as making sure to wash your hands thoroughly, flushing toilet twice, etc.
