Safety Precautions
- TO 15X-1-1, TO 00-25-172, handling, cleaning, and servicing,
- Personnel shall wear protective clothing and equipment,
- LOX -297°F (-182.5°C) cause frostbite,
- Oxygen equipments shall not be contact with grease, oil, hydraulic fluid, or dirt,
- Smokers must wait a minimum of 30 minutes after servicing,
- Aircraft drain vent and filler valve shall be free of obstructions,
- One unit of liquid oxygen can expand 689 times,
Liquid Oxygen Servicing
- Places the converter on the supply bench,
- Removes the protection covers,
- Connects the return line,
- Remove Gas Oxygen,
- Attaches the liquid oxygen vehicle supply line,
- See uninterrupted liquid oxygen coming from the return line,
- Remove liquid oxygen supply line,
- Attach protective dust caps.
