leBron's purpose is to encourage the adults to push and help the youth grow in order for them to aspire to be something greater and achieve something that would help their community and to serve as a role model to these kids. As stated in the text, "the most important thing that we can give them is structure and a sense of, they just want someone to feel like they, like we care. Kids just want to know if we care about them. They have the dreams, they have the aspirations, they have everything that they can, can actually get to whatever they want to get to in life. They just want to notice someone care and that's why we're doing this today". for instance"So us as adults, we have a responsibility to not let these kids down to continue to be the teachers, the mentors the parents, the coaches, the life studies the life skills whatever it is the inspiration the superheroes everything that's our responsibility because these kids are our future and they have dreams that's bigger and greater than the city of Akron in the state of Ohio than the United States of America." This is effective because you can see leBron wants these adults to be in aspiration to these little kids and feel supported by people who will help them get to the point they want to.

Lebron uses colloquial expression throughout his speech in order to get his purpose across, having a message sent across the audience and impact others. Rolens-Lebron's use of colloquial expression strengthens his purpose by aiding his message of helping destitute children by corresponding to the atmosphere given by the audience. As Lebron states within his speech, "I think for kids for young kids ages 7 8 9 10 the most important thing that we can give them is structure and a sense of, they just want someone to feel like they, like we care". The author uses words such as "structure" and phrases such as "like we care" in order to bring upon a sense of responsibility to the adults that Lebron wants to take measures and aid the youth to thrive in a stable environment. Lebron also goes on to state " That's why we're going to continue to do things like this because we want these kids over here, these kids over here, and all the kids in this city and hopefully beyond the city lines, beyond the state lines, beyond the country lines, understand that this is something because we care about their future". Lebron uses colloquial expression here to supply his audience with a view of his work in order to aid the children who do not have many opportunities available to them, not only in his town but all over for those who are underprivileged.
