Google Classroom

First Search for this Icon

It may be under the waffle icon for all your internet icons or it may already be in your address bar.

Click here.

Let's get started.

A waffle icon looks like this

Google App Launcher

Click these nine dots in the top right hand corner or your screen to open your google app launcher. It will look something like this.

Type in the address bar classroom.google.com

It should look like this.

Last Option

Click the button PLUS button in the upper right hand corner.

The prompts will then take you the rest of the way through

Making Your First Class

In this last pop-up window, name your class.

Students have to be invited.

There are two ways. First way is to send everyone in your class an email with the code to the class.

The second way is to invite students within Google Classroom

Click on your newly created Google Classroom

Find the Course Code

Once you've clicked it, to get inside, you will find your course code. To see the course code, click it to expand.

Once you have clicked into your class, you will see four headings. Stream, Classwork, People and Grades. Click People

Once you have clicked people, it will look something like this. Click the plus button for students and then begin to manually enter each email address.

When you begin to type last name, it will automatically search for those within mcsed.net. Don't forget to include your course code.

To find student emails go to YOUR google email. Compose your email. It helps to have your roster.

How to find Student Email Addresses

Once you have clicked into your class, click the classwork tab.

Creating an Assignment

What it looks like. Next, click create.

Click Assignment

After you click create, click assignment.

Making an Assignment

Follow the Prompts

Name your assignment.

Give instructions. If you are new to Google Classroom, have students turn in by Google Docs.

Assign due dates
