He was born 1460 in the town of Sines. Vasco lived in portugal for 20 years with his wife and kids. Vasco De Gama died December 24, 1524.
How did he impact the places he found
The two principal nations harmed by da Gama's exploration were India and Africa. After da Gama exchanged spices for goods in India, that country's resource base has shrunk (Winser). The adventurer not only depleted the country's resources but also lost some of India's land when he took Goa for trade ("Campbell"). Their residents had less room to live there.
Vasco da Gama massacred hundreds of African Muslims as a result of battling with him and his crew, which hurt Africa ("Vasco Da Gama - A Portuguese Explorer"). As a result, Africa lost a portion of its population, making it impossible for them to guard their trading routes. Vasco da Gama used ships to colonize Mozambique in Africa in 1500.
What did he Discover ?
The Portuguese were able to construct a long-lasting colonial empire along the path from Africa to Asia thanks to Da Gama's discovery of the maritime route to India, which paved the way for an era of global imperialism.
