Joint Information Center

The JIC is a central location to manage all aspects of the Joint Information System (JIS). Partners work together to share information, resources and concerns.

The Joint Information System integrates incident information and public affairs into a unified organization that provides consistent, coordinated, accurate, accessible, timely and complete information to the public and stakeholders during incident operations.

The JIS supports the field responders, the EOC and any other partner interests.

  • Includes plans, protocols, procedures, and structures used to provide public information
  • Allows participating organizations to retain individual autonomy and responsibilities
