Brooke

Kowalski

Brooke Kowalski started her dance journey at the age of three. She began at Jeanne’s School of Dance. There she was taught ballet, jazz, tap, and tumbling by Ms. Whitney. She was there for about 3 years then by the age of 6, she started gymnastics at USA gymnastics. She took classes to increase flexibility and strength. Brooke transferred to Diamondback gymnastics at the age of 7 so she could train closer to home.

Brooke discovered gymnastics wasn’t her calling, so she began going to Dancers Ink at the age of 8 or 9. She took Jazz and Acro by Ms. Rachel and Ms. Shay.

While Brooke loved to dance, she was provided the opportunity to begin figure skating at AZ Ice Gilbert. Her previous years of dance and gymnastics training provided her with the tools she needed to be a very successful figure skater. She decided to prioritize her time with figure skating and in order to do that, unfortunately, she had to quit dance. She was taught the basic ice-skating skills by Coach Cassandra and quickly worked her way up to competitions and shows.

All the while, Brooke missed dance so when entering high school, she auditioned for the Skyline High School Production Dance Company. She participated in the Production for her first semester and then she was moved up to the highest dance team, Ascension, beginning for the second semester of her freshman year. Brooke is so happy with where she is, dancing, ice skating, and continuing this life adventure.
