Who am I?
Introduction
My name is Brianna White, I am 19 yrs old.I was born in Houston Texas and grew up in a small area called Katy. I am white and hispanic. I grew up as a christian
Stereotypes
Stereotypes i commonly hear about hispanic people are they are hard workers. I also hear they have a large population. They are portrayed as new to the United States but have actually been here for a very long time.
Ancestors
History
I haven't looked into my ancestors yet but if I had to guess I belive the hispanic side my ancestors are from bolivia and Mexico. On the White side I think my ancestors are from Germany.
Concept of race
I believe the concept of race has always been in the U.S. but through out time it has delevoped and has grown to more meanings. I think it was delevoped because of the american society and always trying to catorize things and people.

Interactions
There was a time where i went to a friends family party who is more hispanic than I am and it was interesting to see the difference. They had a mariachi band and made tacos, street corn, and types of other foods. It was a lot of fun but i felt a little out of place. Everyone would ask me if I spoke spanish and asked if i was fully white. I never tried half the things they made so was nervous to try them. I had a lot of fun but wish I knew some things before hand.
