NHL

The acronym for the National Hockey League. This is an organization for the game Ice Hockey. Without this, we wouldn’t be able to see players play professionally and enjoy the game even more. The origin of the name was created in 1917. It was created by four Canadian teams. Fun fact the first American team was added in 1924 and that team was the Boston Bruins. The creation of the National Hockey League (NHL) was one of the first strongest created leagues in the history of sports and one of the most watched leagues in Canada. Slowly the players and teams need an appreciation for their hardship, dedication and for competition against teams. That led to the possession of the Stanley Cup playoffs and the Stanley Cup itself. Slowly the NHL grew to 10 to 31 teams with the western and eastern conferences and four divisions. The first winner of the Stanley cup was the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association and the recent winner was the Tampa Bay Lightning.
