2 Front War:

The allies fought on two fronts against Germany forcing them to spread their troops across Europe. America, Britain, and other countries fought on the West, liberating France and pushing to Germany. U.S.S.R. pushed through the East, pushing straight into Germany.

Point

The Battle of Stalingrad became the turning point for the European Theatre. Germany has been pushing through Europe and Russia without stop using Blitzkrieg. However, in Stalingrad the Russians won, and then started a long line of losses for Germany.

Battle of the Bulge and the Fall of Hitler

The End

The final battle between Hitler and the Allied forces took place in Germany in The Battle of the Bulge. Hitler knowing defeat was upon him, quick married his girlfriend who was with them, then both took cyanide, killing themselves. This marked the end of the war for Europe

Island Hopping:

The U.S. only picked certain Islands, regarded as Island Hopping. This led us to taking Okinawa, and allowing us to get close to Japan without taking everything.

Midway Bombing:

The U.S. managed to crack the Japanese code and read their messages. This led to America knowing when Japan was refueling, and our bombers to completely wipe out both their ships and their airplanes.

Japan still refused to surrender, leading to President Truman to order the nuking of Hiroshima, the later Nagasaki. The emperor of Japan finally surrendered on Aug. 10, 1945 causing the end of the Pacific Theatre.
