In the 6th century,Beowulf proved himself to be an Epic hero from his great deeds, battles, and fights with supernatural foes.
As all tales, there's an outcast in them, others are nice like a robin hood, but in this tale, Grendel is a supernatural villain. Grendel is a wanted criminal in the Hrothgar kingdom for murdering many of his troops
On another hand, Beowulf is called to help and battles against him.Fighting the supernatural foe with his bare-hands “with heavier hand-gripe; at heart he feared” (line 754)conveys how Beowulf’s strength intimidated his enemy.
During Beowulf's time as king ,a dragon disrupted peace by damaging his kingdom with fires. He then quickly took action,”prince of the Weders, plotted vengeance”(line 2345),showing his heart and love to protect his citizens.
Many major battles necessitate the efforts of many people to succeed. But unfortunately the men Beowulf selected, have fled away as soon as the dragon struck, but his friend remained with him. Both men were courageous enough to face the dragon.”war-knife drew.... So had they killed it, kinsmen both”(line 2716),The outcome was harsh because Beowulf killed the dragon but got a fatal injury.Beowulf was able to prove his great strength and bravery with this battle.
There are many strong beings in this world that use their strength for good.Everyone has to start somewhere small and then go big.Beowulf as an example was able to start his journey by traveling looking for battles and afterwards he was recognized in his hometown and around Europe for his victories.
