1. While working on a computer for a long period of time take eye breaks every 20-30 min

2. When using a monitor you face should be 20-30 inches away and at a height where your head doesn't tilt

3. Your wrist should be in the neutral position when operating a computer

1. Your mouse should be within easy reach so you will not have to overextend yourself

2. Avoid dust, high humidity, and extreme heat around your computer

3. Make sure you are hooked up to a surge protector to avoid being short-circuited

1. Keep the shop and working area clean, put up tool that you aren't using

2. Don't talk to others, especially while working with tools

3. If you don't know how to operate a tool ask your teacher don't try to figure it out

4. Always have a safe attitude in the lab or when in a working environment to try to avoid dangerous situations

Clothing and Protection

1. Eye Protection should always be worn

2. No loose fitting clothes, Tie back long hair, take off jewelry, and any other objects that can get in the way
