  • Don't turn off the lights during your demo. Some audiences members can become tired or drowsy. Slightly dim the lights just enough to view the slide.

  • Talk with your audience first before starting the slide show.

  • Try not to turn your back on the audience to read the slide. Speak directly to them.

  • Interpret the slides as you go along instead of having to read them word from word.

  • Make sure to proof read the slideshow before presenting it.

  • Use a remote control so that you do not have to stand at the computer.

  • Do not block the slide projector while presenting.

  • Use blank slides in between each slide so that you can elaborate on your topic without your audience getting distracted.
