What is it?

Social cultural perspective

Social cultural perspective is the understanding of the influences of social and cultural environment on behaviour

Socioculturalists believe that in order to understand a persons behaviour you need to know the cultural context in why the behavior occurs

Ex. As you grow from childhood into adolescence your social groups will affect you differently

Sociol- culture psychologists seek to understand human behaviour and personality development by examining the social groups and subgroubs that the individual is a member of

french psychologist (1925;2014)

He studies how individuals organize their experiences in the social realm and situational dynamics develop among individuals, he also analyse the levels of social integration and the beliefs, values and ideologies of society.

He found a link between the individual, the collective subject and the system
