To help students to understand what are themes by using a video, and to assist them identifying the themes by supporting them in reading and understanding a short story called “Cheat!”
To help students to demonstrate their understanding on the themes of the short story “Cheat!”
A mini game in which students work in groups to find words related to “Cheat!” short story in the word puzzle.
An exercise that allows each group of students to pick a theme and outline the supporting details and examples based on “Cheat!” short story.
LO1 TO BE ACHIEVED:
Identify at least 2 supporting details for a theme based on the short story “Cheat!” in a group of 5.
To evaluate students’
understanding about
the themes and to
motivate students to
perform further group

1, Each group writes their supporting details and examples for the theme they have chosen on a manila.
2. each group displays their product to the whole class.
3. Every student take turn in doing the"Staying and Walking" along the activity (2 students stay and the other 3 walk)
4. the students who do the walking are in charge of commenting and contributing ideas to other groups.
To wrap up the lesson by encouraging the students to engage in quick discussion about what they have learn.
