Problem
In case of a hurricane, tornado, or other natural disaster, people have no way to use their phones to call for help because cell towers are destroyed .
In case of emergency, people will be trying to call loved ones and 9-1-1. However, from the destruction of the disaster, cell towers will most likely be broken causing most people to be in distress because they can't call for help. We have come up with a solution to that problem by having a portable cell tower that rescue teams can deploy so that 9-1-1 and other calls can go through.
~Many natural disasters occur each year such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and floods.
~Cell towers get damaged when facing strong winds, earthquakes, and other things similar to those.
~People need a way to contact for help during emergencies, such as when they are stranded.
Create portable cell towers that can withstand a storm. They can be brought in by rescue teams and planted in places where storms have destroyed cell towers. We didn't find any other solutions to this problem that currently exist.
Our solution is a portable cell tower which can be carried in by rescue teams so people trapped by a natural disaster can call for help. Our prototype is light enough and small enough to fit onto a rescue helicopter. It has a parachute that will deploy so its landing is smooth.

Once it has landed on the ground, anyone within a reasonable range will be able to call for help or call their loved ones and make sure they're safe.
