On this day, the bean was kept in a sunny windowsill, and one little root was showing, and watered it more. At this time, the root was a very light yellow, almost white. It was wet and had a slight curve to it.
Germination is the process in which a seed is being grown by something that it usually is not grown by. Also, it does not require sunlight, though it could be useful in terms of warmth as the seed beings to germinate, or for growth after germination. The beans were wrapped in a damp paper towel and taped to the window in order to being.
The plant was watered and observed.
4 roots had now begin to show, each, just being the white and yellow color with a bend. They felt a little slimy and wet. One root from before was now 3 inches tall and bright green with a strong stem. 1 leaf was growing. The bean was done growing all 3 leaves, strong green stem. 1 half of a leaf fell off.
Today, the plant was watered and each of the stems were growing more buds. They were a bright green and very strong. 2 are growing on an angle.
The plant absorbs the energy from the sun called light energy. From there, carbon dioxide and water will enter the cell.
In my plant, photosynthesis occurs when it begins to grow since the light energy is hitting it. Once that action takes place, it will now follow the steps of photosynthesis. The outcome to this is sugar, also known as glucose.
Next, the H2O molecule splits into oxygens and a hydrogen. Oygen is released, and ready for the light dependent reaction.
Now, ATP and NADPH enter the Calvin Cycle in which they now get the CO2 fixed. Once thst happens, the ADP gains a phosphate and NADP+ turned into glucose at the Calvin Cycle.
6CO2 + H2O + light =
C6H12O6 + 6O2
After leaving the Calvin Cycle, there is now glucose made which leaves the cell. Now, the glucose will carry over into cellular respiration.
The process of cellular respiration occurs in the matrix (middle) of the mitochondria. This happens when glycolosis, which is glucose and pyruvates are carried into the Krebs Cycle or carried by NADH to the electron transport chain. There, ATP synthase happens, leading to 38 ATP molecules.
Carbon dioxide is waste.
IN MY PLANT
C6H12O6 + O2 + CO2 + H2O + ATP
Cellular respiration occurs in my plant when they convert reactants into oxygen and glucose. The plants then can use the oxygen and glucose to make ATP in cellular respiration. This acts as a food for them.
In your mouth, your food gets broken down by your teeth and tongue. The enzymes and salivary amylase help to break the food into disaccharides. Once swallowed, it goes down the esophagus in which it contracts to help the food get down. As it enters the stomach, its job is to break it down into smaller parts before it enters the small intestine. Next, the small intestine absorbs the nutrients and minerals from the food, passing the left overs to the large intestine. Now, the large intestine will take out all of the extra water and turn it into waste. Lastly, the rectum and anus are the passageway of the body in which allows the solid or gas waste products come out.
The overall function of the human digestive system is the breakdown of food into smaller components, until they can be absorbed in the body.
