The slow failure of the Roman Empire marks the end of the Renaissance

People at the start of the Baroque period were snobbish

Music starts to have "right"and "wrong"

Bach, Hande, and Vivaldi are 3 of the biggest names in the Baroque Period

-They set the rules and many composers copied them later on

Counterpoint is several contasting melodies entering at different times

They created new forms of music and used their music to address more complex and layered topics like death, the after life, and even social and political issues of the time
