The battle started and ended between the dates August 6th 1915 to 1915 August 10th.
Lone Pine had a rare success in some of the fiercest fighting they ever experienced.
Lone Pine was planned as a distraction to keep the Turkish reserves from the main Allied attack.
The significance the battle of lone pine had in World War I overall was the ANZAC victory.
The significance what was in the battle of the pines for world war 1 was the the turkish reserves moved and so the battle of the pines helped a lot to move the turkish reserves guarding their perimeter.
