Analysis:

This shows that stargirl being her own person minding her own business caused others to view her differently.

"They'd never seen a tenth grader so bold."(p.10).

Stargirl being confident and positive was shocking to the students of Mica High. Stargirl wasn't normal to them. She was odd.

"And just like that, stargirl was gone replaced by susan." (p.139).

Analysis:

"One kid started a camera club. Another wore hush puppies instead of sneakers. A plain, timid girl painted her toenails kelly green. A boy showed up with purple hair." (p40-41).

"At that point the only crime stargirl could've commit is corniness." (p.48).

Analysis:

Stargirl turned into one of them. She acted like one of them. She looked like one of them. She's one of them.

This shows that people didn't find her funny. She had her own humour and her own jokes.

Analysis:

Finally, stargirl influenced students to be different, which made them stand out like stargirl

"She looked just like a hundred other girls at Mica High."(p.140).

Analysis:

Stargirl slowly lost her true self. She decided to become like everyone else to make leo happy.

"She cheered anyone, anything, anytime." (p.49).

Furthermore, stargirl has become very desperate to fit in.

Conformity:

For further explanation, stargirl was full of joy and full of hope. She didn't have a leader. She was her own leader. She tries to live her life to the fullest.

"Ever since I became Susan, she thinks I betrayed myself." (p.145).

Analysis:

This proves that when stargirl changed herself she also affected others. Her friends were upset.

"I don't want to be like nobody" (p.141).

Analysis:

Finally, stargirl gave up on being popular because it just wasn't who she was. she was overwhelmed on trying so hard. She wanted to be herself.
