Introduction

Communication plays important role in our life. It has many sources whether through technological source or face to face. Motivation has been regarded as a key factor in learning of something.

Language is our primary source of communication. It's the method through which we share our ideas and thoughts with others.

"We can define language as a system of communication using sounds or symbols that enables us to express our feelings, thoughts, ideas, and experiences." (E. Bruce Goldstein).

English has been used as a communicating language

for many years as it’s an international language

which helps us to interact with different

people

and situations.

1#Communication:

Two-way process of reaching mutual understanding, in which participants not only exchange (encode-decode) information, news, ideas and feelings but also create and share meaning. In general, communication is a means of connecting people or places.

2#Language:

the system of words or signs that people use to express thoughts and feelings to each other.

Noam Chomsky, consider a language to be a set (infinite) of sentences, each in length and constructed out of a finite set of elements."

3#Methodolgy:

The Methodology that is used in this research is qualitative and we used the tool of closed questionnaire for this research.

We distributed the questionnaire on students from different departments in Al-Jouf University to know the reasons behind the low motivation and weakness in English language among students.

: Conclusion:

Motivation had a peripheral importance in accordance to passion. We can see that the majority of our students is not able to speak English fluently and the reason behind that is most of them dislike English. Moreover, the results indicated that if we learned English from young age we can get much better results. The results also answered my question about why students are weak in English language. The reason were that our learners find English is difficult as is it shows in point 1.
