Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER)

A membrane network within the cytoplasm of cells involved in the synthesis, modification, and transport of cellular materials.

Cell Walls

The factory floor; where the Oompa-Loompas make the sweets

A ride frame that wraps around the cell membrane and helps to provide strength, protection, and support.

Vacuole

The gates outside of the factory helps protects the factory.

A space or vesicle within the cytoplasm of a cell, enclosed by a membrane and typically containing fluid.

The Chocolate River, where the chocolate is stored.

Mitochondria/Genorater

2

Centrioles

Powerhouse/Mitochondria - are membrane-bound cell organelles (mitochondrion, singular) that generate most of the chemical energy needed to power the cell's biochemical reactions.

The generators in the basement make their power on which the factory runs.

- a mini cylindrical organelle near the nucleus in animal cells, occurring in pairs and involved in the development of spindle fibers in cell division.

Ribosomes

The Golden Goose Room

A complex molecule made of the RNA molecules and proteins that form a factory for protein synthesis in cells.

Wonka shows them the geese that can lay golden eggs. If it's a good egg, it's shipped out, and if it's a bad egg it goes down the garbage disposal and the incinerator.

Oompa-Loompas represents ribosomes because they make the candy.

Nucleolus

Vesicles

A small, typically round granular body composed of protein and RNA in the nucleus of a cell.

Stores and transport nutrients; waste, and other substances in the cell

Will Wonka's Chocolate Factory V/S Cell

The Oompa-Loompa Village, where the Oompa-Loompas lived.

They are a diminutive people with peculiar hairstyles who work in Willy Wonka's fanciful chocolate factory. They sing songs throughout the story, particularly detailing the shortcomings and mistakes of each child that comes to the chocolate factory in a special visit in the story. They also help around the factory.

Stores all the good eggs away and the the bad eggs away.

How do they relate?

Plasma Membrane

3

Chloroplasts

A microscopic membrane of lipids and proteins that forms the external boundary of the cytoplasm of a cell or encloses a vacuole.

Cytoplasm

The outer wall of the factory grounds.

Contains chlorophyll which converts energy from the sun into usable energy from the sun.

The material or protoplasm within a living cell, excluding the nucleus. (A Jelly-like substance that fills the cell)

Everything in the Factory

The solar panels on the roof.

Golgi Apparatus

Lysosomes

Chemically processes then packages substance from the ER

An organelle in the cytoplasm of eukaryote cells containing enzymes enclosed in a membrane.

The incinerator because it breaks down the bad eggs.

Where the sweets are finished-off, packaged into their wrappings.
