Positions

There are many different positions depending on the way your team plays.

The most basic position is setter. Setter is the person who is supposed to get the second ball.

Another position is labaro. Labaro is the mostly the best passer on the team. The labaro normaly

wheres a different color jersey than the rest of the team. Besides the labaro and the setter,

there are four other people on the court. There are the two hitters. Hitters normally get the

third ball. The last of the positions are the passers. The passers mostly get the first ball.

All of these positions have their special roles, but they can all hit the ball anytime if needed.

You don't need to have these positions according to the rules, but people have them to make their team better.

Basic Rules

There are many rules to volleyball. We will talk about the most basic rules here.

Volleyball is a game of mostly using your hands and arms to pass the ball to the opposing team.

The game is played till one team gets twenty-five points. After a team gets twenty-five points, the teams switch sides,

and play to another twenty-five points. This point in which the teams switch sides are called, sets. If the teams each win one set each,

they will continue into a third set. The third set is only played to

fifteen points, but they switch sides when one team gets eight points. The game is played with six people

on the court. Each team only gets three touches to get the ball over the net.

If you do not get the ball over in three hits, the other team gets the ball. Another basic rule is, that you can block

the ball. You can block the ball when the opposite team hits or spikes the ball.

When you block the ball, it is suppose to deflect to the other side of the net, but the ball may hit the wrong

part of your hand. If the ball does come right back to the person who tried to block the ball they

can hit the ball again, because blocking the ball does not count as a hit, unless you block the ball and it goes out,

or you block it and it hits the ground on the other teams side.
